Fabric scraps magazine box

I always end up with so much leftover fabric, I never know what to do with it.

Thankfully, I got a fantastic book for Christmas that gives you instructions and ideas on how to make useful home items with your leftover fabric.

So... I made a box!

Hoarding cardboard boxes turns out to be good for projects like this too. It's so easy, just cut the cardboard down into the size you want, cut out your fabric so they cover the sides of the box and glue down.

Turn your washed premium potatoes box into something pretty by adding a lining to the box. Just make the height of the fabric longer and hem the edges so they can be folded over the top neatly.

You can see how I used a variety of fabric scraps which all seem to match quite nicely.

And voila! A magazine box.
